History and description
The Paskalev house is one of the most striking examples of a traditional revival town house for silks farming from the end of XIX century and is declared a cultural monument. It was restored and the local ethnographic museum presenting traditional lifestyle and livelihood in Ivaylovgrad region during the Revival is situated. The house has a stone foundation, built of adobe clay and plastered with lime, in the past the ground floor is performing domestic functions, and the two floors above it were with mixed use: so-called houses are for living rooms and large salon for silk farming, used for growing silkworms and welcoming guests off-season .
